New Podcast!
Some Brothers Podcast Announcement: Books, Movies, Music, & More
It’s hard to believe we started our YouTube channel almost 5 years ago. Our first video was listing the Top 5 Movies We Watched in 2021. The first episode of our show Adaptation Station—the show where we review books and their movie adaptations in opposite orders—was on Eric Jager’s book The Last Duel and the Ridley Scott movie with Jodie Comer, Adam Driver, Matt Damon, and Ben Affleck. But, how did we start this channel? More importantly, why?
You can learn the detailed answers to these behind-the-scenes questions in the first episode of our new podcast! Everyone and their momma is starting a podcast these days. Why us? Why not?
Actually, it wasn’t our idea. A kind viewer (@amthatdad3450) gave us the suggestion in a comment:
Do you guys have a podcast? As a truck driver I would listen to you two talking about books for miles on end.
So, now you can do just that. Listen to us ramble for miles on end.
Welcome to the first episode of the Some Bros. Podcast, where we talk about books, movies, music, and more! In this episode we talk about how we started the channel, our show Adaptation Station, and eventually this podcast. We also give some recommendations of things we've been watching, reading, or listening to lately. Then Ryan debuts his Marvel Comic Book Series That He's Reading Right Now Power Rankings. Stay tuned to the end to catch our picks for a recast of Superman!
As of now, it’s an audio-only podcast, designed for long-distance truck drivers searching for something to listen to while they keep their eyes on the road. You can listen while you wash dishes or do other chores around the house. However, if you want to sit back and have something to watch while listening, you can see Ryan playing some retro video games while we discuss the day’s topics.
In episode 1, enjoy our background game of the month, Marvel Super Heroes: War of the Gems for Super Nintendo.
Thank you so much to everyone who has ever tuned in and who continues to check out our stuff.
